Substitute Paraeducator

High School diploma.
Possess good communication skills.
Positive, motivating, and caring attitude toward students.
Demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships with students.
Performance Responsibilities:
Provide secondary instructional support under the supervision of the teacher.
Work with individual students or large groups.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary: DOE $11:21hr - Step 1 of salary schedule.

Substitutes for Nutrition Services, Bus Drivers, and Custodians

Minimum Qualifications for all Departments:
Successful experience in an educational setting desired working in the specifically applied for field.
Possess good communication skills.
Positive, motivating, and caring attitude towards students.
Demonstrate mature behavior and ability to use sound judgement in working with parents, students, staff, and community.
Ability to discipline students when necessary, displaying good judgement.
Demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships with students.
Demonstrate willingness to train in the desired area.

Performance Responsibilities:

Nutrition Services Substitute must hold or being willing to obtain a food handlers' permit within 10 days of employment.
Must be willing to be trained with cashiering or as needed.
Must have a pleasing, outgoing personality.

Substitute bus drivers require applicants with a good driving record.
Pre-employment drug test is required.
Must attend mandatory comprehensive school bus drivers' course.

Substitute Custodians will be called on a need only basis and must be prepared to work a variety of shifts, including evenings.

Salary: Substitute Rate for each position

Substitute Teacher

Please Note: A substitute packet must be picked up at Administration building in addition to below qualifications:

Current Washington State Teaching Certificate.
Understand Washington State Essential Academic Learning Requirements.
Demonstrate mature behavior and ability to use sound judgement in working with students and staff.
Possess a high degree of energy.
Be honest and trustworthy.
Possess high moral and ethical standards.
Fingerprints will need to be taken if it has been over two years since the last fingerprints were taken.

Salary: $98.00/day Long term substituting after 20 days will be placed on the statewide salary schedule
