Plant Sale Flyer
The greenhouse is something that helps the students learn about horticulture. The students grow plants in this class and in the spring they sell them for money to go towards the school’s ASB fund.
Information
The plant sale usually raises around $10,000 for Spokane Valley High School.
Students learn the difference between annuals and perennials, types of potting soil, and they also get a firsthand experience actually potting the plants and taking care of them.
Students learn how to place the flowers in hanging baskets to control how they grow.
To work in the greenhouse you can either take horticulture or the greenhouse FYI class.
